Deny yourself for the grace of God

We often hear people say “Get out of the box”.

What does it really mean?

As I was growing up, I remember how I got myself challenged between scenarios after scenarios. Particularly whenever I am faced with the limitations of my ability. The pattern of this world always heads you towards a goal leveling strength against others, may it be physical, intellectual, even inner ability (Self). So, getting out of the box for me have been a pursue for a branch of power I can be capable of. Only, realizing that as you grow old, everything is just a matter of independence and being able to look after yourself, so that we may continue to live, continue to experience the world God has created it to be, and to surpass this earthly living into a higher ground holding the promise of salvation for believers as I am myself.

Although, strength after strength we come up to a conclusion of who we are. We often Identify ourselves with the things that we can do, and deny those that we cannot.

In growing my faith, I am learning that I am not limited by the things I know. Beyond what I am, the grace of God is immeasurable. The bible says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – (Philippians 4:13). This verse says it all. Knowing our Identity base on the standard of this world is a good know, but knowing our Identity in Christ is a wisdom.

Blessed day to everyone!

  1. Great post. I like your line where you say “I am not limited by the things I know.” Because it reminds me of the scripture that we are to believe more in the things that we cannot see, so if we only believe in the things we know for sure, we are limiting ourselves.

while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
Blessings and Have a very Happy New Year.
